As we all know, movies reflect society; some create landmarks that leave a lasting impression on their viewers. In India, women are worshipped as goddesses like Laxmi Durga Kali, but the reality is different, as depicted in films and television. Sometimes, women's needs and desires are hidden by their domestic duties; more precisely, the breadwinner or polymath suppresses them. Bollywood women-centric films that address issues affecting women are the main subject of this study. One hundred female college students have been selected for this study. The purpose of this was to give a more comprehensive picture of how college students felt about women-focused movies. Social inequality, violence, female independence, dowries, and domestic abuse to ascertain how these films impact women and how they mold their attitudes, perceptions, social awareness, and lifestyles, ten of the most well-known movies released between 2016 and 2025 have been selected for this study. At dr. D. Y. Patil Arts Commerce and Science college Pimpri, Pune Maharashtra. The results of this study, which combined a qualitative and quantitative approach with a structured questionnaire and a chi square test for analysis, indicate that women-centric films have a significant impact on undergraduate students. They sometimes express themselves through these movies, and their self-esteem increases when they watch movies that show gender sensitivity, educational importance in their life, like a weapon for them. These findings imply that women in today's youth become more conscious of themselves at the semi-urban academic environment.
