Abstract

The article explores the transformation of the professional model from a figure of product display into a communicative agent within modern visual marketing. The article aims to trace this evolution and to define the functions through which the model produces brand meaning, mediates recognition, and shapes audience identification. The study's relevance stems from the expansion of digital platforms, the rise of image-centered communication, and the growing importance of inclusivity, self-branding, and virtual embodiment in brand strategy. The scientific novelty lies in interpreting the professional model as an active participant in cultural production, visual persuasion, and norm formation across human and synthetic media figures. The article concludes that the model now concentrates aesthetic, symbolic, and relational functions within a single visual frame, influences consumer-brand relations through visibility and legitimacy, and contributes to the construction of contemporary ideas of beauty, identity, and social belonging. The article will be useful for researchers in media and communication studies, marketing scholars, fashion theorists, and practitioners in branding, advertising, and visual culture.
