Abstract

Across the globe, women have fought many battles for equality and have gradually achieved success. Today, they stand shoulder to shoulder with men, contributing towards advancing the economy of the country and the nation. Women are increasingly moving out of their homes and working successfully even in remote areas. However, even in today’s perspective, it can't definitively be said that women are completely safe. In such a scenario, self-defense techniques can help to a large extent. Due to the necessity of leaving home for work, this paper highlights the importance of self-reliance in ensuring personal safety and how women can protect themselves.
