Abstract

Gurusaday Dutt, a pioneer in 'Rural Reconstruction Movement' in colonial Bengal worked hard to restore the traditions local cultures of rural Bengal. He spreaded his movement in various ways like restoration of war dances of Bengal, unique singing for particular situations like Zari gaan or needle work which village woman do on quilt called Nakshi Katha. I want to throw light about these works of Gurusaday Dutt through this article.
