Abstract

The social interactions, way of learning, and approach to learning of secondary school students are influenced by many personality traits. Among these personality traits, the most common are introverted and extroverted personality types. In this research, we hope to learn about the differences in introverted and extroverted personality types in Boys and Girls in Secondary Schools. The researchers will conduct a quantitative study using a Standardized Personality Inventory to collect a random sample of the students. Additionally, It is believed that this study will lead to the development of guidelines for educators and policymakers on how to develop effective instructional strategies for all varieties of students with differing personality traits, as well as maximize the potential for Total Student Development.

The primary aims of the research were to identify the introvert and extrovert students, compare their performance, and analyze the differences in social adjustment and emotional stability. The results showed that introvert students exhibited better concentration skills and performed well in written academic assignments, while extrovert students exhibited higher levels of participation in class discussions and extracurricular activities. Although there were differences in social behavior and levels of participation, there was no significant difference in intellectual ability. The conclusion of this study is that both personalities have their own strengths and make different contributions to the school setting. This can help teachers develop well-rounded teaching approaches that cater to different personality traits in secondary school settings.
