The digital economy has emerged as a transformative force influencing economic growth and employment patterns across the globe. Driven by advancements in information and communication technologies (ICT), digital platforms, and internet penetration, the digital economy has reshaped traditional economic structures and labor markets. The present study examines the impact of the digital economy on economic growth and employment using a comprehensive analytical and review-based approach covering the period up to 2020. The study focuses on key components such as digital infrastructure, e-commerce, digital services, and technological innovation. Data have been collected from government reports, international organizations, and academic literature. The findings indicate that the digital economy has significantly contributed to economic growth by enhancing productivity, innovation, and efficiency. It has also generated new employment opportunities, particularly in the technology and service sectors, while simultaneously transforming traditional job roles. However, challenges such as digital divide, skill gaps, and job displacement remain significant concerns. The study highlights the importance of policy interventions and skill development to maximize the benefits of the digital economy.
