Intellectual security is one of the most fundamental pillars of the security system of every society and serves as a strong shield against cultural infiltration, civilizational plunder, and intellectual deviations. The aim of the present article is to explain the factors affecting the weakness of intellectual security and Strategies for Its Strengthening. The importance of this research lies in the fact that this type of security provides the ground for preserving epistemic cohesion and stability in the behavior of individuals and societies, and prevents intellectual disorder and disruption in various spheres of social life. Moreover, intellectual security is one of the most important factors of protection against deviant thoughts and movements. Identifying the obstacles to its realization is among the scientific necessities that can play an effective role in preserving the religious, cultural, and civilizational identity of Islamic societies. This research has been written using the descriptive-analytical method. The findings show that distancing oneself from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), disregard for religious scholars, ignorance of moderation and the main objectives of Islam, disruption in understanding balanced jurisprudence, lack of awareness of the comprehensiveness of religion, susceptibility to rumors, following the desires of the self, innovation in religion, fanaticism, and partisanship are among the important factors behind the weakness of intellectual security. The best solutions for establishing this security are teaching the Sharia sciences, establishing an administration for enjoining good and forbidding evil, consultation, and prohibiting migration to non-Muslim cities.
